Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed denounced the move as a diversionary tactic, while AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi raised concerns about the new requirements. The Kanwar Yatra, which started on June 10, is a pilgrimage where devotees carry water to offer to Lord Shiva.
