Lucknow. The Union Cabinet has approved UPS for government employees. Regarding which Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has posted and expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister. He has also congratulated the employees of the country.
Keshav Prasad Maurya wrote in his post, the Union Cabinet chaired by the country’s illustrious Prime Minister, Honorable Shri Narendra Modi Ji, has approved the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) providing assured pension to government employees. Through this scheme, the central government will provide assured pension, family pension and assured minimum pension to government employees. I express my gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for this wonderful decision and congratulate the employees of the country.
What is Unified Pension Scheme
Unified Pension Scheme is a new pension scheme for government employees. Under this, employees will be given a guaranteed pension after retirement. This amount will be 50% of the average basic pay of the 12 months before retirement. Employees will be entitled to get this pension after 25 years of service. On the other hand, if a pensioner dies, then his family will get 60 percent of the pension received till that time.
