Raipur. 5 December 2024. The Urban Administration and Development Department of the State Government has sanctioned Rs 3 crore 1 lakh 80 thousand for various construction works in Surajpur Municipality. After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao, the department has issued an order to sanction funds for 45 infrastructure development works. These include 28 works of CC road construction, 12 of drain construction, two of CC road binding and one each of yoga shed construction, retaining wall construction and flood light installation in different wards of Surajpur Municipality.
On the basis of the proposals received from the Chief Municipal Officer of Surajpur Municipality, the Urban Administration Department has approved this grant of Rs 3 crore 1 lakh 80 thousand from the infrastructure item in the current financial year 2024-25. The department has sanctioned Rs 1 crore 55 lakh 64 thousand for 28 works of CC road construction, Rs 83 lakh 42 thousand for 12 works of drain construction and Rs 15 lakh 3 thousand for two works of CC road binding. Rs 11 lakh 59 thousand have been sanctioned for the construction of yoga shed in Krishna Kunj, ward no. 4 of Surajpur Municipality and Rs 22 lakh 71 thousand have been sanctioned for the construction of retaining wall in Krishna Kunj road. The department has approved Rs 13 lakh 41 thousand for the installation of flood light in ward no. 12.
