US and Ukraine Leaders Meet: Focus on Ending War and Achieving Peace

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine met with US President Donald Trump at the White House, following Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. European leaders were also present in Washington. Trump highlighted that his meeting with Zelenskyy was important. Trump acknowledged the discussions with Zelenskyy, emphasizing the progress made. Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for the invitation and the efforts to stop the war. Trump stated the commitment to work with Ukraine, and others, to secure a long-term peace, not a temporary solution. Trump further added that he believes the war will end soon and also shared his experience of ending other conflicts around the world.
