A disturbing intelligence report has revealed Russia’s extensive preparations for unleashing destruction from land, sea, and air. The report, compiled by the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) and published in the ‘Nuclear Notebook,’ offers a detailed look into Russia’s nuclear capabilities. The report provides an estimate of Russia’s nuclear arsenal, including deployed, reserved, and retired warheads. It also details the specific types of weapons systems deployed across different platforms, including SLBMs, ICBMs, and air-launched cruise missiles. The report highlights Russia’s readiness for a large-scale conflict, with preparations for launching nuclear weapons from multiple domains. The analysis also mentions that NATO does not have the means to counteract Russia’s capabilities. Moreover, the report suggests that Russia may significantly increase its warhead deployment after the New START treaty expires.
