    Deoghar: Acting on a secret information, a special police team raided Chitolodhiya ground under Kunda police station and Khirondha forest of Devipur police station area on Saturday. From the spot, 10 youths, including an accused resident of inter-provincial Bihar, were arrested for cheating PhonePe users by promising them cashback. The raid team has seized 15 mobiles along with 25 SIM cards and six mirror SIMs from the arrested accused.

    All the thugs were sent to Deoghar Central Jail

    According to the information given by Deoghar Police Media Cell, the police registered an FIR against the arrested accused in the cyber police station and presented all of them in the court. On the instructions of the court, the cyber police station took the accused to Deoghar Central Jail in judicial custody. The arrested accused include Rohit Das, resident of Punsia village of Budhei police station area of ​​the district, Rajesh Das, resident of Rohini Ajan Tola of Jasidih police station area, Kundan Kumar Das, resident of Thadhi Dulampur of Kunda police station area, Sanjeet Das, Chakrum of Chandramandih police station area of ​​Jamui district under Bihar. Village resident Mantu Kumar Das, Sumesh Ravani, resident of Jeruva village of Pathraul police station area, Gauneya village resident. Ajay Kumar Das, Chandan Das, resident of Dumarthar village of Karaun police station area, Pappu Kumar Das, resident of Jamunian village of Devipur police station area and Chandan Das, resident of Lakhnuwa village of Madhupur police station area.

    Used to deceive people by posing as customer care and government officials

    Mobile and SIM card have been recovered from the accused. In the preliminary investigation by the police, it became clear that all the above people used to cheat people by posing as fake customer care and government officials by luring phone-pay users of cashback. Apart from this, PM Kisan also used to cheat the beneficiaries of the scheme online by luring them. According to the media cell, a complaint was registered on the Prakhand portal against six mobile numbers seized from the six accused. A complaint has been found registered on the JMIS portal against the IMEIs of the mobile numbers seized from the remaining four accused.
