Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand is facing a major crisis after a cloudburst near Gangotri in Harsil. The resulting flash floods in the Khir Ganga have caused devastation, particularly in Dharali village. Several hotels have been destroyed, and there are numerous reports of missing persons. The death toll has reached four, with over 50 people still unaccounted for. Rescue efforts are being led by the SDRF, NDRF, and the army.

The District Administration of Uttarkashi has established helpline numbers: 01374-222126, 222722, and 9456556431 (DEOC Uttarkashi) for providing assistance.
