The Uttarakhand government, under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has announced two significant moves. Exceptional high school and intermediate students will be given the opportunity to work as District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) for a day in their respective districts. The objective is to offer them an administrative experience and to inspire them. In addition, “River Festivals” will be organized across the state. These events will encourage public participation in the cleaning, rejuvenation, and conservation of the state’s rivers. The festivals will emphasize the cultural and environmental importance of rivers and promote water conservation awareness among the general public.
