Ranich, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate of Bihar and Jharkhand proudly announces that the NCC group headquarters in Ranich is organizing the Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon under its stewardship. The theme is “Steps of Valor Towards Revolution”. This is a historic initiative that honors the legacy of tribal hero Veer Birsa Munda and promotes national unity. It lays the foundation for a broader journey that will celebrate Veer Birsa Munda’s legacy while inspiring collective participation for national unity and cultural pride. This inspiring journey will be conducted in two phases. The first phase of this remarkable journey will run from 18 to 20 December 2025 across three distinct routes in the holy land of Jharkhand, touching prominent places where the footsteps of Veer Birsa Munda echo. This phase will feature dedicated participation from NCC officers, permanent staff, and NCC cadets, including girl cadets who embody unity, discipline and inclusiveness. It will conclude with a grand welcome ceremony at Morabadi ground in Ranich. The second phase will be a challenging and inspiring journey from Ranich to New Delhi. It will cover approximately 1,300 kilometres through Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi, taking 20 days. It will culminate on 28 December 2025 from the Birsa Munda Jail campus in Ranich. This journey will spread a message of unity, courage and cultural pride across the nation carried by a team of two officers, two permanent staff and 16 NCC cadets, including female cadets who are brave young ambassadors of Jharkhand filled with the indomitable spirit of Veer Birsa Munda. The phase will end on 28 January 2026 with a grand return at the Prime Minister’s rally in New Delhi, giving the greatest tribute to Veer Birsa Munda on the national platform. The Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon is more than just a bicycle ride. It is a movement that promotes physical endurance, cultural pride and national unity. It connects our glorious past and our ambitious future with the vibrant energy of our NCC cadets. As the team rides through cities and states, they will carry not only Veer Birsa Munda’s story but also the story of the new state of Jharkhand’s confidence and resilience. Every pedal lifted by the cyclists will carry a message of strength, sacrifice and service.
