Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan delivered a stirring message to My Bharat-NSS volunteers at his New Delhi residence on Tuesday, amid preparations for their 2026 Republic Day Parade showcase.
He beamed with pride at the group’s vibrancy and orderliness, seeing in them the pulsating energy of India’s future. Sharing glimpses from his NSS days as a student, he elaborated on how the initiative forges resilient, principled citizens ready for societal roles.
The Vice President highlighted their parade prowess, thanking the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for championing My Bharat-NSS’s success. Central to his speech was the conviction that national unity and communal service form the bedrock of India’s strength.
Echoing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s ideals, he implored youngsters to serve selflessly and stay loyal to the country’s cause. Linking to the vision of Developed India by 2047, he framed it as a unified quest needing committed, disciplined individuals.
Optimistic about the youth’s skills, ambitions, and international perspectives, he foresaw India leading the world stage in 2047. Beyond economics, progress hinges on harmony, morality, and values—hallmarks amplified by NSS in areas like literacy, environment, health, development, and disaster aid.
He commended their hands-on contributions and warned against impatience, urging focus on discipline, grit, and duty. Sincere pursuits, he reassured, pave the path to achievement.
The occasion drew Union Youth Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, officials, mentors, and notables.
