VinFast has launched its electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, in the Indian market. The VF6, designed for affordability, is priced at ₹16.49 lakh (ex-showroom), and the VF7, the premium offering, is priced at ₹20.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can place bookings with a ₹21,000 token amount, with deliveries expected to start in 2028.

VinFast is providing complimentary charging and maintenance packages for its customers, in addition to including a panoramic sunroof in both SUVs. The VF7 will be covered by a 10-year or 2,00,000 km warranty, while the VF6 will have a 7-year or 2,00,000 km warranty. Expanding its global presence, VinFast plans to leverage its electric vehicle offerings in India. The company will also export its India-assembled EVs to multiple countries within the South Asian region.

The vehicles will be assembled locally at VinFast’s Tamil Nadu plant, employing the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) method. Bookings are underway at showrooms located in Surat and Chennai. VinFast aims to establish a network of 35 showrooms across 27 cities before the year’s end. The VF6 will be offered in three trim levels: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity.

The VF6 is powered by a 59.6kWh battery pack, paired with a single motor and a front-wheel-drive configuration. This setup produces 204bhp and 310Nm of torque. According to VinFast, the VF6 offers a range of up to 468 km on a single charge, as verified by ARIA certification. Charging the battery from 10% to 70% takes only 25 minutes. The wheelbase of the VF6 is 2,730 mm, and the ground clearance is 190 mm.

The VF7 features a 70.8kWh battery pack, available with either a single-motor or dual-motor setup. It is capable of a range of up to 532 km on a full charge. The dual-motor AWD variant delivers up to 350bhp and 500Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The charging time from 10% to 70% is just 24 minutes.

The VF6 Earth trim comes with an all-black interior theme, while the Wind trim incorporates a dual-tone mocha brown and black interior. The VF7’s trims also feature a sporty all-black interior, with the higher-end Wind and Sky variants offering a mocha brown and black theme.

Both the VF6 and VF7 are available in six exterior color options: Urban Mint, Zenith Grey, Red, Infinity Blank, Desat Silver, and Black. The new VinFast electric SUVs are equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, HUD (Head-Up Display), wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a 6-speaker audio system.

Further features include a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, ventilated seats, a panoramic glass roof, eight airbags, Level-2 ADAS, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, ESS, ROM, all-wheel disc brakes, seven airbags, cruise control, and a 360-degree SVM. The direct rivals of these EVs include the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curve EV, and Mahindra BE.06.
