Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, after a Delhi visit where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has addressed the speculation surrounding a cabinet expansion. Returning to Raipur on Saturday, CM Sai stated that the expansion will be considered “when the time is right.”

Upon his return, CM Sai addressed the media, sharing details of his meeting with PM Modi. Discussions revolved around the current situation in Chhattisgarh, highlighting the opportunity to share the state’s evolving progress. Key projects, including the Bodhghat initiative and river interlinking plans, were also reviewed. The Bodhghat project is anticipated to produce 125 megawatts of electricity, while both projects are designed to enhance irrigation capabilities across a large area.

CM Sai also briefed PM Modi on the state’s efforts to counter Naxalism. He received congratulations from the Prime Minister on the ongoing efforts and reciprocated congratulations on Operation Sindoor. Regarding the cabinet expansion, CM Sai did not provide specific details, only mentioning that the matter would be addressed at a later time.

The cabinet currently has two vacant ministerial positions, following the resignation of MP Brijmohan Agrawal from his ministerial role and MLA position during the Lok Sabha elections. Following Agrawal’s departure, CM Sai has taken over the responsibility of the education department, which Agrawal previously oversaw.
