Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ conclave in Raipur, organized by News18 Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh. The event focused on key aspects of state development, good governance and welfare initiatives. The Chief Minister shared his government’s commitment to swiftly advancing inclusive development in Chhattisgarh.

He highlighted the strong support from Chhattisgarh’s citizens, enabling the government to begin work promptly. The initial cabinet meeting saw approval for 18 lakh houses under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, allowing numerous families to celebrate homeownership. In a landmark decision for agriculture, the government initiated paddy procurement at ₹3100 per quintal, including the arrears for two years.

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana provides ₹1000 monthly to 70 lakh women. The Chief Minister also discussed the tribal empowerment efforts, including the Charan Paduka distribution, bonuses for tendu leaf collectors, and religious trips via the Teerth Darshan Yojana.

Banking services are a priority for the panchayats. Atal Digital Centers have been established in 1460 gram panchayats with an expansion plan. The Ready to Eat construction has been given back to women’s self-help groups.

The government is working seriously to achieve a Naxal-free India by March 31, 2026, as per the central government’s goal, and development is being accelerated in villages through the Niyad Nellar scheme. The ‘double engine’ government’s commitment is key to this progress.

The ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ conclave included many sessions focused on Chhattisgarh’s potential, achievements and future. It facilitated discussions on governance, empowerment and innovation, presenting Chhattisgarh’s vision nationally. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramvichar Netam.
