Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, presiding from the Mahanadi Bhawan Ministry in Nava Raipur, convened a video conference with all district collectors to assess the implementation progress of government schemes. The primary focus of the meeting was a comprehensive district-wise review of ongoing development projects, with the Chief Minister issuing crucial instructions to the attending officials.
During the district-specific review, Chief Minister Sai examined the status of various land-related cases, including name changes, both undisputed and disputed land divisions, record corrections, error resolutions, land acquisition processes, boundary demarcations, and land diversions.
Expressing his concern over the repeated summoning of citizens for hearings, he highlighted the financial and time-consuming burden it placed on the public, thereby diminishing public trust in the government’s efficiency. He mandated that officials minimize the frequency of hearings and expedite the resolution of pending cases.
Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh issued directives to ensure all revenue cases are registered in e-Courts, enhancing the ease of monitoring and tracking. He also underscored the importance of focusing on record corrections and error rectifications. A special initiative was mandated at the tehsil level, utilizing patwaris, to improve record accuracy.
Recognizing the significance of national highway projects, the Chief Minister emphasized the critical role of land acquisition in ensuring the swift and efficient progress of national highways and the Bharatmala project. He instructed collectors to address and resolve any pending land acquisition and compensation distribution cases.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the need for rapid completion of land acquisition and compensation distribution for infrastructure projects such as roads, railways, and mobile towers in the Bastar division, particularly in Narayanpur, Dantewada, Sukma, and Bijapur.
Chief Minister Sai affirmed the state government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in revenue administration. He stressed that a responsible governance model requires timely justice delivery to the public and directed officials to ensure cases are resolved promptly and fairly.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister issued instructions to expedite the farmer registration process, aiming to promptly register all eligible farmers. He urged officials to take the digital crop survey seriously and ensure its timely completion.
The Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking the 25th anniversary of Chhattisgarh’s formation, began on August 15 and will continue for 25 weeks. Chief Minister Sai directed district collectors to organize local events, fostering public participation. He encouraged uploading program details to the portal and enhancing promotional activities.
Chief Minister Sai announced the forthcoming Seva Pakhwada (Service Fortnight), scheduled from September 17 to October 2, as an integral part of the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee. This period will feature public service initiatives such as blood donation camps, health camps, and revenue camps. He encouraged linking this occasion with every citizen to enhance public engagement and strengthen public relations.
The review meeting was attended by key officials including Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Secretaries to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, P. Dayanand, Finance Secretary Mukesh Bansal, PCCF Sunil Mishra, Secretary of Public Works Department Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of Revenue Department Reena Babasaheb Kangale, Managing Director of the Culture Department Vivek Acharya, and other departmental secretaries, commissioners, and directors.
