Prime Minister Narendra Modi used National Voters’ Day to rally citizens, declaring voter status a constitutional right intertwined with duty. His X post praised the Election Commission while urging unwavering participation to honor India’s democratic legacy.

Marking 75 years since the 1951 polls, Modi evoked pride in India’s status as the world’s largest democracy, born from centuries-old traditions of dialogue. In his letter to volunteers, he portrayed first-time voting as a transformative moment, calling for celebrations that include distributing sweets and campus events.

‘Educational institutions must champion this by registering every eligible student,’ he advised, viewing them as hubs for voter awareness. Modi hailed the logistical triumph of India’s elections as a democratic spectacle, with citizens traversing extremes to vote.

He spotlighted young women’s crucial role in inclusivity, inviting youth to ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ for proactive nation-shaping. The message culminated in a collective vow: spare no effort in empowering democracy to forge a developed, self-reliant India.
