Navi Mumbai was severely impacted by heavy rainfall on Tuesday, with widespread waterlogging reported across the city. This led to significant traffic congestion, impacting the daily commutes of residents. The IMD has issued a red alert for Raigad, Thane and Ratnagiri districts. Air travel was also affected by the heavy rainfall, leading to flight delays and disruptions. Several subways were closed due to flooding. IndiGo issued a travel advisory for Mumbai, warning of potential flight delays and advising travelers to plan for extra travel time. Mumbai Traffic Police provided updates on the traffic situation, including the closure of the Andheri Subway and the implementation of diversions.
