    The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has published a report on the assets declared by India’s chief ministers. According to the report, Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, is the poorest, possessing assets worth 15.40 lakh rupees. The report is based on the affidavits filed by the chief ministers during the recent assembly elections and by-elections, and it has generated political reactions in Bengal.

    N Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh leads the list as the wealthiest Chief Minister, with assets exceeding 931 crore rupees.
