May’s rainfall provided a pleasant respite, but June brings heat to Delhi and other states. The capital city hit 45 degrees Celsius on Monday, making it a hot day. Clear skies and strong sun contributed to intense heat in the NCR. A heatwave is expected to continue, with highs of 44 and lows of 29 degrees Celsius. Dust-laden winds and heat waves are likely, but relief may come on June 13, with the weather department forecasting rain. Uttar Pradesh is also dealing with heat. An orange alert has been issued for heatwaves in several districts. Rain is expected from tomorrow, with rain and thunderstorms predicted in 60% of districts on June 12. Bihar expects weather changes overnight with heavy rain from the monsoon. Jharkhand also anticipates changing weather, with strong winds and rain in many districts from today until June 14. Rajasthan is experiencing a heatwave, with Sri Ganganagar reaching 47.3 degrees Celsius. The weather department predicts dry weather and heatwaves in western Rajasthan for a week. Light rain is possible in Kota and Bharatpur on June 15-16. Haryana and Punjab are likely to experience intense heat this week.
