    Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Alerts for Heavy Rain and Heatwave Conditions

    The IMD has provided a detailed weather forecast, highlighting impending heavy rainfall and heatwave conditions across the country. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe are expected to receive heavy rain from June 10th to 13th. Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Interior Karnataka will also face torrential rain from June 11th to 13th.

    The Andaman & Nicobar Islands may experience intense downpours today. Northeast India will continue to see light to moderate showers for the next seven days. The areas likely to receive more rain include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya (June 10th-13th), Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura (June 11th-13th), Madhya Pradesh (June 8th), Vidarbha (until June 9th), Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands (June 8th-11th), Gangetic West Bengal (June 11th), and Bihar & Jharkhand (June 10th-13th).

    A heatwave alert has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh (June 9th-11th). East Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh can expect a heatwave on June 9th & 10th, and West Rajasthan from June 8th-11th. Hot and humid weather is predicted for Odisha (June 7th-9th) and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on June 8th.
