Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal: Due to the presence of two effective low pressure areas at different places, a series of good rains has started in Madhya Pradesh. According to meteorologists, light to moderate rains may occur in the entire state during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of heavy rains at some places, especially in the districts of Indore, Ujjain, division.

According to the information received from the Meteorological Center, a low pressure area is formed around West Bengal and Jharkhand. It is likely to reach Jharkhand on Saturday. A cyclone is also formed in the upper part of the air in the Bay of Bengal. A low pressure area is also present in the Arabian Sea and the Maharashtra coast adjoining it.
The monsoon trough is currently passing through Bikaner, Sikar, Orai, Churk, Dehri, West Bengal and the low pressure area formed over Jharkhand to the Bay of Bengal. An offshore trough is formed from the coast of Maharashtra to the coast of Karnataka. Apart from this, a western disturbance is formed in the form of a trough around Pakistan.
Good rain in the state
Former senior meteorologist of Meteorological Centre, Ajay Shukla said that due to the effect of strong weather systems formed at different places, a series of good rains has started in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the hope of further increase in rain activities in the entire state from Saturday has also increased. Heavy rains can also occur at some places, especially in the districts of Indore division and the adjoining Ujjain division.

Heavy rains occurred in Indore-Ujjain on Thursday and Friday. Shipra river swelled in Ujjain. All the temples and small bridge of Ramghat were submerged in water. As such, traffic on the bridge remained closed till afternoon. Ujjain city has received 577 mm rainfall so far this season.

From 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Friday, Indore recorded 71 mm rainfall, Khandwa 62 mm, Bhopal 53 mm, Chhindwara 46 mm, Guna 30 mm, Sidhi 15 mm, Ratlam 12 mm, Dhar 8 mm, Mandla 6 mm, Satna 2 mm and Ujjain 0.6 mm rainfall.
