Hottest day in last 10 years in Bhopal, Indore. Night temperature expected to drop after a week. No effective western disturbance is active in the state.

Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal: There is no effective weather system active at present. The direction of the winds still remains south-east. Due to this the temperature has started increasing in the state. In this sequence, the highest temperature of 36.6 degree Celsius was recorded in Khajuraho in the state on Friday. In Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur also, Friday was the hottest day in comparison to the last 10 years.

According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of some drop in temperature only when an effective western disturbance reaches North India and the wind direction turns north. At present, cyclones are forming in the upper part of the air over Eastern Assam and Western Assam.

The weather will remain like this for three-four days

Ajay Shukla, former senior meteorologist from the Meteorological Center, said that both these weather systems are not having much impact on the weather of Madhya Pradesh. The wind direction currently remains south-easterly. Due to this, the temperature has increased in most of the cities of the state. This type of weather pattern may continue for three-four days.

Tremors started increasing in the state

After any effective western disturbance reaches North India, there is rain and snowfall in the hilly areas there. After the advance of the western disturbance, the wind direction starts turning north. Due to the cold winds coming from there, shivering starts increasing in the state. The night temperature starts falling. Looking at the current situation, there is a possibility of some decrease in night temperature after a week.

Maximum temperature of four major cities on Friday

Bhopal – 34.5 degrees Celsius Indore – 34.3 degrees Celsius Gwalior – 34.5 degrees Celsius Jabalpur – 34.8 degrees Celsius
