In the wake of the Sonam case in Indore, which involved a bride accused of murdering her husband, a disturbing incident unfolded in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. On her wedding night, a bride threatened her new husband, warning that she would cut him into 35 pieces if he touched her.
The wedding ceremony had gone smoothly, but the situation quickly turned sour on the wedding night. When the groom attempted to be intimate, the bride pulled out a knife. Her words were chilling: “If you touch me, your body will be cut in 35 pieces.”
Further investigation revealed that the bride was in love with her nephew, a man named Aman, as she told her family. The groom’s family then stated that she kept a knife close by, creating an atmosphere of constant fear. She also allegedly threatened to file a false case if her actions were discussed, and demanded to leave with her lover, who she continued to see post-marriage.
A few days later, she escaped by scaling the boundary wall of the house and eloped with Aman. The groom’s family has lodged a police complaint, and the matter is currently under investigation. The event has quickly gone viral, bringing to mind the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case that shook Madhya Pradesh.
