In a significant breakthrough, police in West Singhbhum’s Gua police station area have arrested a man involved in the sexual exploitation of a minor. The accused, Krishna Sinku, allegedly preyed on the underage girl for about two years by promising marriage, leading to her current pregnancy. The case came to light after the victim’s family reported the incident.
According to details provided by the police, the victim’s father lodged a complaint outlining how Krishna Sinku, residing in Dipasai village, had consistently exploited his daughter. The deception involved a false promise of marriage, under which the accused allegedly engaged in a long-term physical relationship, resulting in the victim’s pregnancy.
Following the complaint, Gua police registered a case. The district police, under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police and the supervision of Kiriiburu SDPO Ajay Kumar Kerketta, organized a swift operation that led to the arrest of Krishna Sinku in Dipasai village.
Legal procedures are being followed diligently, with the victim’s statement recorded and her medical examination conducted at Sadar Hospital, Chaibasa. The accused has been presented in court and placed in judicial custody. The investigation continues to gather all relevant details and ensure justice.
