WhatsApp to Launch AI Writing Assistant for Enhanced Messaging

WhatsApp is set to introduce ‘Writing Help,’ an AI-driven feature designed to improve the quality of outgoing messages while maintaining user data privacy. The feature will be available in a future update and will enable users to compose messages that are better-toned, grammatically accurate, and clearer, utilizing Meta AI within WhatsApp’s secure Private Processing system. Identified in the latest WhatsApp beta release for Android (version 2.25.19.8), Writing Help aims to enhance communication without impacting user privacy. Like WhatsApp’s existing AI-based summaries, Writing Help will utilize encrypted processing, ensuring message data stays on the user’s device and is not shared with Meta servers. This continues WhatsApp’s commitment to providing advanced communication tools while preserving user control and privacy.
