    Raipur, September 19, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said during an interview in a program organized by Sudarshan Channel on Thursday that ending Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, winning the trust of the people and moving forward in the direction of development are among the main objectives of our government. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is working to improve the standard of living of the people through the Niyad Nellanar scheme to achieve this objective on the ground. Many villages in the Naxal-affected areas have been resettled. Work is being done to connect the Naxalites who surrender with employment. Innocent people were dying due to the activities of Naxalites, it is the responsibility of the government to protect the common people. Our government has set a target to end Naxalism by March 31, 2026. After the formation of the government, a joint task force has been constituted and efforts are on to end Naxalism.

    The Chief Minister said that the people of Bastar are benefiting from various public welfare schemes of the government. The work of purchasing tendu leaves in Vananchal is being done through cooperative societies. Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum were organized with the aim of taking people out of the Naxal ideology and connecting them with the mainstream of development. 1 lakh 65 thousand people participated in the Bastar Olympics, which proved that the people of Bastar want to move forward on the path of development.

    The Chief Minister told about his foreign visit that this visit was very successful. We got an opportunity to showcase the state’s art, culture and possibilities through the Chhattisgarh Pavilion in Japan from August 24 to 31. He said that investors have been invited to set up industries in the state and they have also been made aware of the new industrial policy. Special priority has been given to employment generation in the new industrial policy.

    He said that there are immense possibilities of industry in Chhattisgarh. Abundant natural resources are available here. There are also vast possibilities in the field of Ayurveda and herbal products as about 44 percent of the state is covered with forests. He said that there has been extensive development of health services in remote Vananchals as well. At present, 15 medical colleges, IITs, NITs, IIMs, National Law University and many other higher educational institutions have been established in the state.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai urged people not to leave cows unattended. Road accidents are happening due to stray animals. It is our responsibility to protect the cattle. The Chief Minister said that the government is taking strict action to remove illegal encroachments on grazing land in the state.
