Windows 11 users are in line for a new suite of AI features, courtesy of Microsoft, with a phased rollout planned. The new features include Copilot Vision, which allows users to analyze everything on their screen via the Copilot app. This includes content across open apps and webpages. Users can then ask questions about the content on screen, or even ask Copilot to perform certain actions such as picture enhancement. Microsoft’s recent consumer AI report shows that a large percentage of people are already integrating generative AI into their workflows and personal lives. The report also mentioned that users with Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs can access the AI agent via the Settings app. A feature called “Click to Do” will also be introduced for Copilot Plus PCs. Other features getting rolled out include an AI-powered sticker generator in Paint and an object select tool. Additionally, there is a new AI lighting option in Photos and a perfect screenshot tool. These features are scheduled to begin rolling out in August, alongside non-AI features such as a colour picker in the Snipping Tool and a system that addresses unexpected restarts.
