    Highlights

    Tribal artists had performed in the first procession of Mahakal. A 350-member police band had performed in the second procession of Mahakal. Today, before the third procession, a record of playing Damru has been made in Ujjain.

    Ujjain. On the third Monday of the month of Sawan, a world record of playing 1500 damrus simultaneously was made in the city of Mahakal, Ujjain. 1500 damru players made this record by performing on Shaktipath situated in Mahakal Lok. Lord Bholenath is very fond of damru, due to which his city resounded today.

    Earlier, the Federation of Indian Association New York had made a record by playing 488 Damru simultaneously. This record has been broken today in Ujjain by playing 1500 Damru. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav had taken the initiative to make a world record for Damru playing in Ujjain.

    Rishinath of Guinness Book of World Records has announced the creation of a world record of Damru playing and provided a certificate. After this, the CM has congratulated Ujjain for the world record of Damru playing.

    25 groups of Damru players participated

    1500 players from 25 groups of Damru players participated in making this record. In this they have praised Mahakal by playing Damru. Damru has been played on the tune of Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti.

    Due to the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Mahakal’s procession is becoming even more grand in the month of Saavan. He has made unique efforts to provide grandeur to the procession.

    In the first procession of Mahakal, tribal artists performed folk dance. After this, in the second procession, a 350-member police band gave a performance. Now today, Damru is being played in the procession being taken out on the third Sawan Monday. MP Anil Ferozia, Rajya Sabha MP Umesh Bholenath also participated in the Damru playing program organized on Shaktipath near Mahakal Mahalok.
