2 cops shot in US’ New Jersey as shooter opens fireplace

By India Today Web Desk: Two law enforcement officials in New Jersey’s Newark metropolis have been injured after an unidentified shooter opened fireplace from a rooftop on Tuesday. The National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) stated the shooter was armed with a rifle and is actively taking pictures at legislation enforcement.

The video shared by the FOP exhibits law enforcement officials in tactical gear on the neighbourhood streets conducting a search. Police automobiles may be seen blocking roads within the space.
New Jersey’s governor, Phil Murphy, stated he’s carefully monitoring the creating state of affairs. “I am in touch with local authorities and the state is providing resources as requested. We will continue to support local law enforcement and ensure that all residents are safe,” he tweeted.

The two injured law enforcement officials have been taken to a hospital for therapy.
