By Agence France-Presse: At least 20 folks died and 15 others have been injured on Saturday morning when a bus overturned on the Pan-American Highway in southwestern Colombia, mentioned police.
The bus was touring between the port metropolis of Tumaco, within the southwestern nook of Colombia, and Cali, 200 miles (320 kilometers) to the northeast when the incident occurred.
“Unfortunately, we have a toll of 20 people dead,” mentioned Captain Albertland Agudelo of the Narino visitors police division.
Among the injured have been a three-year-old lady and an eight-year-old boy.
Investigators are doable “mechanical failures in the brake system,” Colonel Oscar Lamprea, director of visitors and transportation within the space, mentioned. A preliminary report mentioned the driving force misplaced management after popping out of a curve in a foggy space.
