Bangladesh: 3 killed, 9 injured as truck rams into pick-up van on Sylhet-Dhaka freeway

By Sahidul Hasan Khokon: At least 13 of us have been killed and 9 others have been injured after a truck rammed proper right into a pickup van on the Sylhet-Dhaka freeway inside the Nazir Bazar house of Sylhet in Bangladesh on Wednesday.

As per native media tales, 9 of the deceased have been acknowledged as Haris Mia, Sourav, Sadhu Mia, Tayef Nur, Sagar, Rashid Mia, Dulal Mia, Badsha Mia and Wahid Ali. The identification of 4 our our bodies is however to be achieved.

The accident occurred at spherical 5:30 am when a sand-laden truck hit a pickup van carrying 20-22 constructing employees inside the Kutubpur house, acknowledged Md Samsuddoha, officer-in-charge of Dakshin Surma police station.

The injured have been taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Vehicular movement remained suspended for 3 hours on the Sylhet-Dhaka freeway following the accident, inflicting guests jam. The guests movement resumed after police intervention.
