6 min read

Raipur. BJP organized a state working committee meeting in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, in which Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar strongly countered Rahul Gandhi’s statement that “Hindus are violent”. The Union Minister said that if Hindus were violent, it would not have taken 500 years to build the Ram temple. He said that after winning just 99 seats, Congress is lying and saying indecent things by presenting misleading figures. Khattar said that Rahul Gandhi and Congress are lying today by calling the NDA government at the Center a minority government.

The Union Minister further said that the figures show that in 2004 and 2009, in the UPA government, Congress had secured 145 and 206 seats respectively, while the UPA got 225 and 262 seats. These minority governments were supported by the Third Front. Whereas today the NDA is a full majority government with 293 seats in which the BJP has 240 seats. Khattar inaugurated the extended working committee meeting of the state BJP at Pandit Deendayal Auditorium here on Wednesday.

Union Minister Khattar said that calling 293 seats a minority is part of Congress’s policy of lying. Describing Narendra Modi’s swearing in as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time as a historic event, Khattar said that during Pandit Nehru’s time, making someone Prime Minister for the third consecutive time was not a challenge. But today in challenging situations, Modi becoming Prime Minister for the third consecutive time matters. Khattar quipped that Congress was actually not able to get the recognition of opposition party in the last two elections, this time it is considering getting the status of recognized opposition with 99 seats as its own. The public has given a clear mandate in favor of Prime Minister Modi and NDA.

Talking about Chhattisgarh, Khattar congratulated the BJP workers for the BJP’s victory in 2023 after 2003, 2008, 2013 and for the spectacular victory in 10 out of 11 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and said that Chhattisgarh is a state that will create opportunities for a golden future for the BJP. In the last Lok Sabha elections as well as in the assembly elections of four states, the Congress has not got success in any state. NDA government has been formed in all of these. Not a single Congress MP has been elected in 13 states. Even after this, the Congress has been under the illusion of forming the government. Khattar said that in Chhattisgarh, the Congress made promises of prohibition of liquor, loan waiver but did not fulfill them. A promise was made to give the farmers the bonus of 2 years but that too has now been fulfilled by the BJP government. In this way, the country and state Congress only lied. Spread the lie of changing the Constitution and ending reservation. When these lies did not work, now it is talking about calling Hindus violent and defeating the Ram Mandir movement. Hindus are the most tolerant people in the world. If this were not the case, it would not have taken 500 years to build Lord Ram’s temple. We have also completed the process of removing Article 370 peacefully. The caste and communal riots that used to happen during Congress rule have stopped during BJP rule.

Union Minister Khattar said that the opposition is actually afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. If they remain in power, the opposition’s agenda and plan of appeasement politics by spreading caste and communal frenzy will not be fulfilled. Khattar said that the coming time is of great responsibility for us, we should go door to door with the benefits of the public welfare schemes of the Central and Chhattisgarh government, which are being received by the beneficiaries, and strengthen the people’s faith in BJP. We have to fulfill all the parameters of Prime Minister Modi’s goal of developed India by 2047. Along with the Vidhan Sabha, our vote in the Lok Sabha matters and we all should move forward with this pride.

BJP defeated Congress in Vidhan Sabha and Lok Sabha: Kiran Dev

Earlier in his welcome address, state BJP president Kiran Singh Dev said that BJP won 54 seats in the assembly elections and has made a historic lead in 68 assembly constituencies by increasing the vote percentage to 52.6 percent in the Lok Sabha. Appealing for active participation in Prime Minister Modi’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, Dev said that after the formation of the government in the state and the center, now we have to reach out to the people with the promises that are being fulfilled. After the results of the Lok Sabha and assembly elections, our responsibility has increased. Now all the officials, leaders and workers should participate in the implementation of the set action plan. After a few months, we have to put forward the goal of achieving 100 percent voting in the civic and panchayat elections. Dev said that reaching the top and remaining on the top is also a big challenge, keeping this in mind, we all have to fulfill our responsibility and play an active role.

Tribute paid to the deceased leaders and workers of BJP in the condolence resolution

BJP Bilaspur division in-charge Anurag Singhdeo moved a condolence motion in the meeting and tribute was paid by observing two minutes of silence on the demise of BJP leaders and their family members. Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu presented a congratulatory motion on Modi becoming Prime Minister for the third time

Union Minister Tokhan Sahu, while presenting the congratulatory motion on becoming the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, said that there were different circumstances in the three Lok Sabha elections of 2014, 2019 and 2024. In 2014, while Congress was angry with the UPA government, in the 2019 and 2024 elections, BJP won on the basis of the achievements of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure. This is extraordinary, all this has happened due to the best senior workers of BJP. Prime Minister Modi did not take even an hour’s leave in his entire tenure and gave a corruption-free government, a transparent government, abolished Article 370, built Ram Temple, made a law on triple talaq, brought the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Before 2014, India was known for hunger and corruption. Nepotism and appeasement hollowed out the country. The feeling of cultural nationalism prevailed during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure. Many public welfare schemes were implemented in 10 years. Supporting the congratulatory motion, the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma elaborately highlighted the shortcomings of the Congress’ 67 years of rule and the achievements of the Modi government in 10 years. BJP National Vice President Su Lata Usendi, supporting the motion, congratulated Prime Minister Modi for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Nari Shakti Vandan Act.

Regional organization general secretary Ajay Jamwal filled enthusiasm among the workers and said, there is a war going on between religion and irreligion, we have a world class leader like Modi

While guiding the workers in the state working committee, regional organization general secretary Ajay Jamwal said that even after the defeat in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, we should keep moving forward by maintaining mutual coordination, social harmony and mutual cooperation, and continue working hard for success as expected in the next elections. Jamwal said that the goodness of the work of our government should be publicly mentioned, BJP workers should always keep in mind why the public gave power to BJP, due to which demerits of Congress the public removed Congress from power. Staying away from those demerits, we will have to take initiative for introspection. Increase your quality power, make the divisional and booth units strong, remove the shortcomings. Our sadhana will be successful only if we reach out to all the people. Jamwal said that today there is a war between religion and irreligion. We have world class leadership. Recently Russia has honored our Prime Minister with Russia’s highest honor. Prime Minister Modi is working 16-16 hours so that no one remains hungry, backward, distressed. It is important for all of us to introspect and analyse whether we are walking on that path or not. Workers are our backbone.
