A 23-year-old Ukrainian woman, Iryna Zaruutsk, was murdered on a train in the United States. The attack occurred on the Lynx Blue Line in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was captured on video. The attacker, 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr., stabbed Zaruutsk. Zaruutsk was stabbed multiple times. After the attack, Zaruutsk collapsed and died on the train. Brown Jr. got off at the next station and was later arrested by police. Police recovered the knife used in the attack. Brown Jr. has a history of criminal activity, including robbery with a dangerous weapon and has previously served prison time. The investigation into the motive for the attack continues.
