Crocodile kills soccer participant in Costa Rican river, swims away with physique
By India Today World Desk: A Costa Rican soccer participant died after a crocodile viciously attacked him within the Canas River in entrance of horrified bystanders, reported by Spanish information outlet Marca.
The 29-year-old Jesus Alberto Lopez Ortiz had jumped into the river from a bridge that was closed for fishing due to the presence of crocodiles within the water, mentioned Santa Cruz Police Sergeant Marcelino Hernandez.
The crocodile remained within the water because it held Ortiz’s physique in its grip.
The incident occurred within the province of Guanacaste, roughly 140 miles from Costa Rica’s capital metropolis of San Jose, reported by The New York Post.
