Cyprus Hosts Yoga Event: A Collaboration Between India and UNFICYP

In anticipation of International Day of Yoga 2025, the Indian High Commission and UNFICYP organized a yoga event at the UNFICYP Headquarters in Nicosia. The event demonstrated yoga’s global appeal, promoting wellness and diplomacy under the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health.’ The High Commissioner of India and Colonel Patrick Andrew Allen, OBE, attended the event, which was coordinated by Major Dharmpal Singh. The initiative sought to integrate yoga into the peacekeeping domain, enhancing mental resilience and well-being. The High Commissioner noted the collaboration’s reflection of cultural diplomacy. The event also included a live yoga demonstration and a commemorative publication.
