Family of Yemeni Victim Accuses Mediator of Deception and Financial Misconduct

The brother of Talal, the Yemeni victim in the Nimisha Priya case, has made serious allegations against Samuel Jerome, the mediator. Abdul Fattah Mahdi contests that Jerome is a lawyer, and claims he holds only power of attorney. Mahdi accuses Jerome of misappropriating significant amounts of money, including $40,000, under the pretense of negotiating with the victim’s family. Mahdi’s statement clarifies that he and his family had no communication with Jerome. Mahdi further asserts that Jerome never made any substantial efforts and allegedly congratulated him after the execution order was approved, indicating a lack of empathy and genuine effort.
