In a telephone interview, Trump stated his belief that Benjamin Netanyahu is also keen to reach an agreement. A meeting is set to take place between Trump and Netanyahu at the White House. Ahead of the meeting, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Netanyahu in New York. This meeting followed Trump’s recent unveiling of a 21-point plan to bring an end to the war in the Palestinian territory. The plan was introduced during discussions with Arab and Muslim leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.
