Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has voiced grave concerns from the United States. He stated that Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is operating openly in Bangladesh, and thousands of previously jailed militants have been released by the current administration.
