Hero launched Xtreme 160R 2V, giving new features with a big cut in price…

Chandigarh. Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 model of the Xtreme 160R in India, with a starting price of Rs 1.11 lakh ex-showroom. Due to this new price, this bike has become cheaper by about Rs 10,000 compared to its previous model.

What’s new in Hero Xtreme 160R 2V?

The 2024 Extreme 160R 2V features several notable upgrades. One of its key features is the drag race timer, which is integrated into the fully digital instrument cluster. This feature offers two modes: D1 for 0-60 kmph speed and D2 for quarter-mile (402 m) speed. It is carried over from the 4V variant.

Another significant change comes in the form of newly designed tail lamps. The new, sleeker tail light design not only modernises the bike’s rear profile but also flaunts the brand’s distinctive “H” logo.

In addition, the new Xtreme 160R 2V features a flatter seat profile, which enhances comfort for both the rider and pillion to a great extent. The pillion seat height has been significantly reduced, and the duration of the rear grip has been increased. The model is offered in a single colour scheme called Stealth Black. This variant features an all-black body with attractive red accents.

2024 Xtreme 160R 2V: Engine and hardware

The 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V is powered by the same 163.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 15 hp and 14 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The braking system of the bike consists of a single front disc brake and a rear drum brake setup. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. At a new price of Rs 1.11 lakh, the Xtreme 160R 2V is positioned as a more affordable option in its segment.
