Instagram, Facebook, Twitter block Trump’s account after US Capitol violence

Washington: Instagram, Twitter Inc and Facebook Inc on Wednesday quickly blocked the accounts of U.S. President Donald Trump.
As an unprecedented and violent scenario unfolded on the US Capitol in Washington on Wednesday, a number of of US President Donald Trump’s supporters reiterated his claims that the recently-concluded presidential election was ‘stolen’, and demanded their ‘voices to be heard’.

The protesters managed to overpower the regulation enforcement officers and swarmed the House and Senate chambers, resulting in the evacuation of a number of Congressional buildings.
Several lawmakers slammed Trump for inciting violence, with some calling for his fast impeachment and removing.
