Islamists assault Birmingham Police all through a crackdown on illegal stalls in Ramzan

On Sunday, April 16, the Birmingham police confronted a violent assault by illegal stall owners of a highway market inside the Coventry Road neighbourhood. The incident occurred as a result of the police had been following up on complaints by native residents who had complained that Ramzan, the holiest month inside the Islamic calendar, had turned their neighbourhood into “30 days of hell”.

The police arrived on the illegal highway market to implement the regulation and disperse the distributors who had been working with out appropriate permits. Within an hour and a half of their arrival, the police had been encircled by a mob, and the situation shortly escalated.

The crowd reportedly shouted, “Get out of here” and “We don’t want you,” whereas making pig-like noises on the enforcement officers. The rigidity escalated because the gang grew an increasing number of aggressive, and some members of the gang kicked police cars as they tried to depart the scene. The police had been compelled to retreat and go away the spot on account of overwhelming hostility and threats posed by the gang.

Sergeant James Newton, Supervisor for Small Heath and Highgate was quoted by The Birmingham Mail as saying, “The goal is to enforce rules regarding unlawful pop-up trading tents, nuisance, anti-social conduct. The local population’s displeasure with unlawful dealing, which generates substantial foot traffic in the vicinity and directly affects the local community, has increased significantly, as evidenced by our observations.”

Bottles had been reportedly thrown at police in Small Heath, as police tried to crack down on illegal highway market stalls all through Ramzan, It was reported that one cop was injured all through the assault.

During the month of Ramzan, many have complained regarding the dysfunction, chaos, and excessive noise inside the area sooner than the crackdown.
