The Israeli navy intercepted a flotilla attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the detention of activists aboard the vessels, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. This action was part of an ongoing effort to enforce Israel’s blockade of Gaza, which has experienced substantial damage from almost two years of warfare. The Israeli Foreign Ministry reported on X that several boats from the Hamas-Sumud flotilla were stopped, and their passengers were being transported to an Israeli port. They added that Greta Thunberg and her companions were safe and in good health.
