Israeli air strikes on Saturday resulted in the deaths of at least 70 Palestinians, including seven children, despite a call from US President Donald Trump for an immediate end to the bombing in Gaza. These strikes followed Hamas’s agreement to Trump’s peace plan. The city of Gaza saw the highest number of casualties as a result of the attacks.
Health officials have reported 45 fatalities in Gaza City. Over a million Gazans have been impacted by the Israeli attacks, resulting in displacement and relocation to southern Gaza.
An airstrike in Gaza’s Tuffah neighborhood on a residential building caused the deaths of 18 people and injured several others. Rescue teams reported that neighboring buildings were also damaged.
Israeli forces also targeted a displacement camp in al-Mawasi, southern Gaza, where residents had been told to evacuate. Two children were killed, and at least eight others were injured in the attack.
