Japanese military helicopter goes missing with numerous people on board

By Reuters: Japan on Thursday acknowledged it had misplaced contact with a military helicopter carrying numerous crew and passengers near Miyakojima, part of its southwest Okinawa island chain.
The UH60 troop transport, typically commonly known as the Black Hawk, disappeared from radar monitoring after leaving a Ground Self Defense Force base on Miyakojima and did not reply to radio communications, in accordance public broadcaster NHK.
The authorities’s priority is to rescue these on board, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida acknowledged in suggestions aired by NHK.
Japanese Coast Guard ships are looking for the missing helicopter, which in accordance NHK was carrying 10 people. Some native media reported {{that a}} senior Ground Self Defense Force commander was amongst them.
GSDF officers weren’t immediately on the market for comment.
