The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has issued a travel advisory, urging caution for Indian citizens traveling to Nepal, following improvements in the law and order situation. The Embassy noted that the situation in Nepal has significantly improved over the past week, with regular road transport and flight schedules. Indian travelers are advised to be vigilant and adhere to any guidelines from the Embassy or local authorities in Nepal. The Nepalese government is in the process of clearing the streets and restoring normalcy after recent violent protests. Charred vehicles are being removed from streets and parking areas, with government buildings undergoing repairs. Cranes are being used to remove damaged vehicles from Singhadurbar, the administrative center, and temporarily store them at the federal parliament. The vehicles’ registration numbers are being recorded to assist with insurance claims and damage assessments. A preliminary survey indicates that approximately 700 vehicles were damaged, with over 250 four-wheelers and more than 450 two-wheelers destroyed. The Prime Minister’s Office suffered substantial damage, with 47 four-wheelers and 74 two-wheelers destroyed within its premises. The Prime Minister’s Office, the Home Ministry, and the Federal Parliament Secretariat were among the locations with the most significant vehicle damage during the protests.
