Key Outcomes from Jaishankar-Lavrov Delhi Dialogue on Indo-Russian Ties

Delhi played host to a crucial bilateral dialogue between Indian EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar and Russian FM Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday, as part of broader BRICS engagements. The conversation reinvigorated the unique strategic partnership, exploring avenues in trade expansion, energy diversification, improved connectivity, joint R&D in science-tech, and streamlined skilled migration.

In a detailed X update, Jaishankar noted the productive session covered core pillars of the partnership alongside global and regional hotspots. ‘Discussed trade & investment, energy & connectivity, science & technology, and facilitating mobility of skills & talent,’ he elaborated.

Prior to this, Lavrov landed for BRICS talks, following Jaishankar’s interactions with FMs from Brazil and Maldives on two-way relations, neighborhood priorities, and BRICS roadmap to 2026 summit.

Another highlight was Jaishankar’s meeting with South Africa’s Ronald Lamola, where they evaluated partnership progress and committed to ramping up dialogue mechanisms for multilateral synergy.
