More than 200 employees had been evacuated from a coal mine in southern Russia on Sunday after it full of smoke, RIA information company quoted an emergency official as saying.
The incident occurred at a depth of practically 200 metres (650 ft) on the Obukhovskaya mine within the metropolis of Zverevo, Interfax stated.
It was not clear what brought about the incident or whether or not any miners had been nonetheless underground. Officials on the mine couldn’t be reached for quick remark.
