Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, addressed the matter of a Palestinian state near Jerusalem. He likened the idea, following the October 7 events, to allowing Al-Qaeda to be situated near New York City after 9/11. Netanyahu asserted that such a move was “insane” and would not be considered under his leadership.
