A report suggests that the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 25 tourists and a civilian, was planned and executed by the Pakistani political and military leadership. The ISI and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were responsible for carrying out the operation. Similar to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, only Pakistani terrorists were involved. To ensure secrecy, the ISI directed Sajid Jutt, an LeT commander based in Pakistan, to deploy foreign terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, avoiding local Kashmiri militant involvement. Sulaiman, a former Pakistani special forces commando, led the attack after training at LeT’s Muridke center and infiltrating Jammu in 2022. Satellite phone records place Sulaiman near the attack site a week before the incident. Sulaiman was previously involved in an attack on an Army truck in April 2023. The investigation confirms Sulaiman’s role, despite initial suspicions of Hashim Musa and Ali Bhai.
