Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, engaged in discussions with Bangladesh’s interim government, addressing the long-standing issues stemming from the 1971 war. The talks included the demand for an apology, property disputes, and the situation of Pakistani nationals still in Bangladesh.
While the Foreign Advisor of Bangladesh expressed a divergence of views with Dar, both nations agreed to continue dialogue to resolve these complexities. The meeting resulted in the signing of agreements and MOUs, signaling a commitment to improve bilateral ties and find solutions to unresolved historical matters. It was noted that a solution to the 54-year-old problems can’t be resolved in one day.
