Following Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has recognized India’s formidable military capabilities and is taking steps to bolster its own military strength. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the creation of the new Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command at the ‘Marka-e-Haq’ ceremony in Islamabad. This new command will be responsible for the deployment of numerous conventional missiles and rockets, notably including the ‘Fateh’ series and other related missile systems. This move comes as a direct response to the heavy losses Pakistan incurred during Operation Sindoor and the increasing missile capabilities of India. The new Rocket Force will operate alongside Pakistan’s existing Army Strategic Force Command (ASFC), but will focus solely on conventional missiles and rockets, excluding nuclear weapons. Pakistan’s actions are seen as an attempt to counter India’s long-range missile capabilities, such as the BrahMos, Prithvi, and Agni series, representing a shift in its military strategy. The success of Operation Sindoor marked a significant advancement in India’s military strategy. The Indian army demonstrated its capabilities through missiles, precision targeting, and advanced weaponry. Operation Sindoor sent a clear message that India’s defense capabilities have significantly improved. In response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, where 26 tourists were killed, the Indian army launched Operation Sindoor, eliminating numerous terrorist hideouts and over 100 terrorists. This demonstrated the strength of the Indian military.
